Food Allergy Test
(food antibody assessments)
This is a blood test. You'll
need to get your doctor or local lab to do the
blood draw for this test kit. Directions and
mailing instructions are included in the kit.
Includes testing for 120 of most common foods. Diet
instructions, rotation diet menu, and more.
Gluten &
Casein Peptide Test
Testing for urinary
peptides (incompletely broken down pieces of
protein) from gluten and casein is important
because these peptides react with opiate receptors
in the brain, thus mimicking the effects of opiate
drugs like heroin and morphine. These compounds
have been shown to react with areas of the brain
such as the temporal lobes, which are involved in
speech and auditory integration. One of the reasons
for the incomplete digestion of these foods may be
a deficiency of the enzymes that break down these
small peptides. Many parents have reported
significant improvements in their children with
autism after eliminating gluten and casein from the
diet. Panel Includes: Casomorphin peptide &
Gliadorphin peptide
Hair Analysis for
Heavy Metal Toxicity
Throughout the last century,
advances in industrialization, manufacturing, and
technology have resulted in ever-increasing amounts
of toxic elements being released into the
environment. From air pollution, tooth fillings,
skin creams, and paint dyes, to batteries, seafood,
vegetables, tap water, and dietary supplements,
toxic exposure now commonly occurs through a
multitude of diverse vectors. Most of these
elements remain in the environment long after the
original exposure source is gone.
Leaky Gut Test
(Intestinal Permeability Assessment)
This test determines if a
person has Leaky Gut Syndrome. Leaky Gut Syndrome
is associated with allergies, pain, inflammation,
Crohn's disease, and other illnesses.
Low Mood
Profile
Profile best suited for
persons suffering from moodiness, mood swings or
low libido - Profiles Cortisol, Epinephrine,
Norepinephrine, Dopamine, Serotonin, GABA,
Histamine, Creatinine
Organic Acid
Test
Selective
immunodeficiency, exposure to broad-spectrum
antibiotics, and consumption of sugars,
individually or in combination, can stimulate an
overgrowth of intestinal yeast or bacteria,
normally present in much lower quantities. Once any
abnormalities are detected there are a variety of
treatment options. Improvements that have been
reported to us during and after treatment include
better eye contact, improved language, less
self-abusive behavior, less hyperactivity, better
sleeping habits and less stimming. These organisms
and their metabolites can produce or exacerbate
symptoms in many conditions.
The organic acid test evaluates all of the
well-defined inborn errors of metabolism that can
be detected with this technology (called GC/MS)
such as PKU, maple-syrup urine disease, and many
others. In addition, we check for many other
abnormalities such as vitamin deficiencies and
abnormal metabolism of catecholamines, dopamine,
and serotonin. We currently quantitate 65
substances, but also evaluate other substances that
are not quantitated. Some of the other biochemical
abnormalities common in autism include elevated
uracil and elevated glutaric acid. Panel Includes:
* Yeast metabolites * Bacteria metabolites *
Nutritional deficiencies * Antioxidant deficiencies
* Inborn errors of metabolism * Amino acid
abnormalities * Fatty acid abnormalities * Exposure
to solvent toxins * Deficiencies of B vitamins or
vitamin C * Neurotransmitters * Indications of
diabetic conditions * Krebs cycle metabolites *
Clostridia overgrowth * Glycolysis * Pyrimidines *
65 important compounds
Post Menopausal
Hormone
Test
To assess the
post-menopausal hormone status with accuracy,
Diagnos-Techs Inc. employs three salivary profiles,
the Short Panel, (Code PHP1), the Expanded Panel
(Code ePHP1), and the Long Panel (Code PHP2).
Salivary samples are used because of practical and
scientific advantage over serum. Target Population
The short and long post menopausal panels are done
on random saliva samples in: 1.Non-cycling women
with intact ovaries. A non-cycling woman usually
has had NO Menstrual flow or spotting for 3-5
consecutive years. 2.Non-cycling women with total
hysterectomy. 3.MEN of any age. This test is not
intended for cycling women. Hormone assessment of
cycling women is done using the 11 sample FHP to
map the full cycle. Hormones Tested The free
fractions (the biologically available portion of
Estrone (E1), Estradiol (E2), Estriol (E3),
Progesterone (P1), Testosterone, and DHEA are
measured in both panels.
Evaluation of Thyroid
Function
Presently, there
are three testing approaches to evaluate thyroid
function. This test covers them all.
